In the case of multiple Ethernet adapter cards in your Host-PC, the APPoloGUI can be configured to use a specific Adapter. This is done by setting the configuration switch ORB_ENDPOINT to a specific IP-address e.g.

ORB_ENDPOINT = 192.168.1.1. How to change a configuration parameter is described in more detail here: Application Note 012

But if you receive an error message like "CORBA could not be initialized" while startup of the GUI it is very likely that this config parameter is set incorrectly.

Follow these instructions to delete or edit the parameter:

1. Close the GUI
2. Open the folder "C:\ProgramData\Lynx\c3_local" (may not be visible in Windows Explorer, therefore has to be typed in manually).
3. Edit the file "c3_local.config.txt" with a text editor.
4. Add a new parameter or change the value if param is already present "ORB_ENDPOINT xxx.xxx.x.x". Substitute xxx.xxx.x.x with your wished IP-address.
5. Start the APPoloGUI

For Windows XP use the same procedure, but you will find the config file at this location:

[english localization]
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Lynx\c3_local

[german localization]
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\Lynx\c3_local
