From time to time we are asked about the pin assignment of our Small Format Pluggable (SFP) optical receivers, transmitters and transceivers used in yellobrik fiber optic converters. We support the so called MSA pinning for almost all SFPs (Video and data). MSA is a standard from the telecommunications industry and the most common for data SFPs.

If the SFP is MSA, it will work technically with our modules, but we guarantee proper functionality only with LYNX SFP modules. The exception from MSA are the dual transmitters and receivers: there is no MSA pinning defined and telecommunications does not use this type of SFP.
